Travel CRM for UK agencies
that actually understands ATOL, TOMS and GBP.
A Manchester honeymoon specialist quoting in pounds. A London corporate team booking flights for FTSE 100 directors. An independent advisor in Cardiff handling ATOL-protected packages. UK travel agencies have specific needs — we built around them.
GBP-first pricing, ATOL references on every booking, GDPR by default, UK data residency on request, Xero UK and FreeAgent integration, and support by real humans in UK business hours. Not a US product with a "£" symbol bolted on.
No credit card. Cancel any time.
The "global" travel CRMs that don't really fit a UK agency
You've trialled them. The currency switches but the assumptions don't. Sound familiar?
No field for the ATOL reference
You add it to the booking notes. Then the notes get truncated on the customer document. Then someone asks for the ATOL certificate and you're back in Word.
Dollar-first everywhere
Default currency is USD. Your reports show $ until you change a setting per booking. Your customer documents say 'total' instead of 'total in GBP'. Small things, daily annoyances.
Date format reads MM/DD/YYYY
Customers in Worthing get a confirmation saying their flight is on 04/07/2026 and panic that they've booked the wrong week. You manually edit every document. Forever.
VAT treatment is American 'sales tax'
There's no concept of TOMS, no margin scheme, no recovery on input VAT. Your accountant runs a parallel spreadsheet to make the VAT return work.
GDPR is an afterthought
The vendor's 'GDPR compliance' is a paragraph in the terms. Data is in Virginia. Your DPIA doesn't pass review. Your corporate clients ask awkward questions.
Support is at 2am UK time
Something breaks on a Friday afternoon. The support team is in Manila or Texas. By the time you get a human, it's Sunday and your supplier deadline has passed.
Built around the UK travel industry
Not localised. Designed from day one for the way UK agencies actually operate — regulatory, financial, operational.
ATOL-aware booking records
ATOL reference, ATOL-protected flag, CAA disclosure language on customer documents, and reporting on protected versus non-protected volume. Generate ATOL certificates from confirmed bookings in two clicks.
Compliance: aligned with CAA guidance and current ATOL scheme rules.
GBP-first, multi-currency aware
Default currency is GBP. Reports run in pounds. Customer documents read in pounds. When you sell a supplier in EUR or USD, the FX conversion is recorded at the booking date and the GBP cost is what hits your P&L.
Supports: GBP, EUR, USD, AUD, CAD and 20+ more.
TOMS-aware VAT handling
Tour Operators' Margin Scheme bookings are flagged separately so your margin VAT calculation doesn't get mixed up with straight commission bookings. Your accountant gets a clean TOMS report and a clean non-TOMS report.
Integrates with: Xero UK, FreeAgent, Sage, QuickBooks UK.
GDPR by default, UK data residency on request
EU hosting, encrypted at rest and in transit, role-based access, retention rules per data type, full DSAR export. UK-only residency available on Agency plan for clients who require it (NHS, defence, regulated sectors).
Certifications: ISO-aligned, SOC 2 controls, EU data residency.
UK accountancy integrations
Xero UK, FreeAgent and Sage integrations push your monthly P&L summary across cleanly. No double-entry, no manual journals, no 'export to CSV then re-import' jobs at month end.
One-way push: invoices, commissions, supplier costs, FX gains.
Real UK support
Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm, by real humans based in the UK. Extended cover in high season. Agency plan customers get a named account manager and a direct line. No overnight call-centre handoffs.
Coverage: UK business hours + on-call for outage emergencies.
Built in the UK, for the UK travel industry
travelCRM is built by a team who've spent years inside UK travel businesses — IATA agencies, host networks, independent advisors, B2B tour operators. The features you'll find are the ones we kept hearing UK agencies wish their CRM had: ATOL references in the right place, GBP everywhere by default, VAT done properly, real UK accountant integration.

Questions UK agencies ask before switching
We're an ATOL holder. Does travelCRM handle the ATOL reference and the certificate workflow properly?
+
Yes. Every booking record has an ATOL reference field, ATOL-protected toggle, and the CAA disclosure language on customer-facing documents. Generating an ATOL certificate from a confirmed booking is two clicks — your ATOL number, the trip details and the passengers prefilled. You can also report on ATOL-protected versus non-protected volumes for your annual return.
Is the data actually in the UK or the EU? Post-Brexit this matters to our clients.
+
Data is held in the EU (Ireland and Frankfurt regions) with full GDPR compliance. We can offer UK-only data residency on the Agency plan and above on request — many UK corporate travel clients ask for it explicitly. Either way, no data is sent outside the UK/EEA without an appropriate transfer mechanism.
Does it integrate with Xero UK or FreeAgent? Our accountant won't touch QuickBooks.
+
Both, plus Sage and a CSV export that any UK accountant can use. travelCRM handles the per-booking invoicing, supplier reconciliation and commission tracking — your accountant gets a clean monthly summary in Xero/FreeAgent format, with VAT treated correctly on the TOMS portions. No double-entry, no manual journals.
How does it handle VAT under TOMS for tour-operating bookings?
+
TOMS (Tour Operators' Margin Scheme) bookings are flagged as such on the booking record. The system separates the margin VAT calculation from straight commission bookings, so your VAT return doesn't get tangled. Your accountant can run TOMS-included and TOMS-excluded reports separately. We're not a replacement for proper TOMS advice — but the data comes out the way HMRC needs to see it.
We're an IATA agency in Surrey running ClientBase since 2014. How painful is the migration?
+
Less painful than the eleven years of ClientBase have been. Most of your historic data exports cleanly via the standard ClientBase CSV export — contacts, bookings, supplier list, commission rates. We've done dozens of these migrations and have a runbook for it. You're typically live in travelCRM inside a week, with ClientBase kept read-only as an archive for historic bookings.
What about support hours? When something goes wrong we need a human, not a chatbot.
+
Support is UK business hours (Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm) by real humans based in the UK, with extended cover during high season. Priority support on the Agency plan includes a direct line and a named account manager. We don't outsource support to overnight call centres — you get the same engineer who built the feature you're asking about.
